While pastry pastels are failsafe in this sweltering heat that we are currently experiencing, there is no better pick-me-up than a bold punch of color; in my case, hot pink! For Day 02 of Amazon India Fashion Week, I picked an immaculate nude pleated skirt from H&M with an elasticated waist band for added comfort. Instead of teaming it with something pretty like a white blouse, I decided I wanted to color outside the lines and give it an eclectic spin. And so a nylon hoodie in the juiciest pink from H&M Studio SS’17 seemed like a fun choice. And boy the amount of compliments I got on that day for my feminine-meet-sporty look totally validated my choices. I teamed the outfit with a pair of strappy block-heeled Louboutin Montezumina sandals to offset my floaty look. As for my bag, it was the Longchamp Roseau Sakura sling bag in white and blue – the prettiest, most lightweight bag ever, featuring a beautiful bamboo loop closure. Accessorized only my hands by stacking loads of delicate rings from Swarovski on my fingers, and a cobalt blue (to match the sakura on my bag, duh!) Reist Infinity woven leather band on my wrist. Finished the look with untamed hair, tied in a messy, low, side pony which is very very unlike me, but well I just loved the casual, effortless vibe it seemed to add to such a thoughtfully curated look. What do you think?

P.S. – Day 02 was also when one of my favorite designer duos, Pankaj and Nidhi were to showcase. So I later threw on a beautifully hand-embellished pale pink cape from their SS’17 collection in support of the same. Loved how it just happened to match my look in a way that it was always meant to be a part of it, since it was totally unplanned.
