Run by three generations of dedicated women entrepreneurs, Sue Mue is driven by values and personal connections and inspires trust. I’ve been admiring their brand ethos and sharing their beautifully crafted collections with you guys, season after season for almost four years now. The one thing that hasn’t changed in all these years that the brand has existed for, is the kind of love and importance they have for their consumers. One visit to the store and you instantly feel their warmth that makes you feel like you are in safe hands, and that your every need will be taken care of. While they offer absolutely exquisite creations each season, may it be pret, fusion-wear or couture, their forte lies in customization. They value individuality and love creating luxury Indian clothing that fits both your body and your personality perfectly.

Well I had the immense pleasure of trying their bespoke services recently and I got Tarun Chawla Photography to document it all in the video above so I could share it with you guys. Their Spring/Summer’18 collection is a gorgeous mix of delicate yet strong looks in neutral hues featuring ethereal embroideries. After getting a good look at the pieces displayed in store, I knew I wanted to stick to the color palette and embroideries they were following this season but play with the silhouettes a wee bit to suit my liking. I selected a beautiful nude organza lehenga from their SS’18 collection with a matching intricately embroidered tulle dupatta. I then sat with the design team to figure out how to complete the look. Instead of a short choli, we decided to pair the lehenga with a straight raw-silk kurta for a more restrained look. I spotted these stunning scalloped cold-shoulder sleeves on a choli they had in store and knew in an instant that i wanted my kurta to have those. The designer suggested I go with an off-white hue for the same to offset the nude tones lehenga and dupatta, after I told her I wanted something high on elegance and not too over-the-top. I have to say I wasn’t fully convinced till I saw the final result. If there’s one thing I know about their team of experts it is that one can really trust their suggestions. The final outfit was sheer perfection, every bit regal and fit for a queen. From the fit, to the cut, to the finishing, the choice of fabrics, to the color combination etc., my outfit turned out be even better than my expectations. It looked just as on-trend as it was timeless.
Add to that some gorgeous jewelry from The Tiana and the perfect hair and make-up look by Makeup by Shagun and I was all set for my traditional soiree!
Whether it’s a traditional ensemble for your special day, that you wish to weave your personality into, or a charming pret or fusion look you want to get customized in your favorite shade, Sue Mue is certainly a brand you can rely on without the fear of being disappointed.
