“A traveler I am, and a navigator. And everyday I discover a new region within my soul.”

A quick visit to the 227-year-old jewelry heaven that is Shri Ram Hari Ram Jewellers, in a winding by-lane of Chandni Chowk’s Dariba Kalan recently, left me feeling absolutely smitten with every piece of history, every detail, every technique employed in the beautiful art of jewelry-making. And that, of course led further to the kind of collaborations I live for, the kind that transform being involved in fashion into a magical privilege. Here’s the first look that I styled and conceptualized in association with the legacy brand.

Give a girl the right jewelry and she can conquer the world, am I right?! I plunged headfirst into the treasure chest of ornate baubles and layered on ‘a fine excess’ of precious gold Sitarami jewelry from Shri Ram Hari Ram Jewellers, for a look that rests complacently on the ‘more is more’ conundrum. This traditional gold style of jewelry encrusted with rubies, emeralds and tiny pearls that instantly became my new favorite, added a perfectly blingtastic spin to my urban monochrome sari look. Needless to say, I suggest absolute indulgence for all you connoisseurs.

I feel the biggest trend in jewelry today is all about making it your own, personalizing how you wear it. Stacking and mixing and matching your fine jewelry pieces brings an informality to them, don’t you find?
Speaking of which, I hope you didn’t miss out my finger cage situation!
