Whether it is literally athletic-wear or just clothing inspired by it, blurring the lines between gym-wear and day-wear is more than just a fad now, since the fashion-forward bunch has chosen to keep comfort at the precipice of all available style options. Athletic leisure or athleisure looks can be downright sporty and dynamic in their appeal without being frumpy, making it great for a working Friday.

If you saw my previous look styled using separates from Genes, you’d know that the brand is all about comfortable, stylish and adaptable clothing. While that look was about layering winter pieces for a work-to-drinks look, this one is all about pulling off the¬†athleisure look at office. I’m wearing a feather print tie-up top layered over an asymmetric black cotton shirt under a scuba pant-suit. I feel the top with its eye-catching print really adds that much-needed punch of unconventional elegance to an otherwise relaxed look. The structure and fit of these double sided scuba pants and jacket makes it absolutely acceptable for office hours while the fabric and detailing gives it an athleisure twist. I would suggest go with minimal to no accessories, a clean face and platform moccasins to complement this look.

Keep up the energy this lazy winter with Genes and give fierce a new face!
